CHARTER SCHOOL BREAKFAST FORUM ON EMERGING ISSUES: Understanding, Evaluating and Improving Your School’s Performance

The bar for performance has been raised. There is rising pressure on schools to show annual improvement in student achievement and other key measures of school performance. School boards and leaders must identify key performance metrics and manage their teams in a laser-focused manner towards achieving them. This program will look at how to meaningfully assess performance and, through specific case studies, will share best practices of strategies proven to increase academic achievement and overall school performance.

The PCSB is proposing new policies to intensify its oversight of charter school compliance with procurement requirements and restrictions on conflicts of interest and self-dealing.  This program will help schools comply with the procurement requirements of the School Reform Act and PCSB policies. TenSquare and FOCUS will present.

Each Breakfast Forum will have two components: (i) a presentation and discussion on a topic of interest to charter schools; and (ii) an open forum for charter schools to discuss emerging issues and share information so they will be better prepared and positioned to manage these issues.
