SQL is a powerful tool for managing and analyzing data. Users will participate in hands-on activities and lectures, and will leave with an understanding of relational databases and the ability to write basic SQL queries. Learn the basics of relational databases; learn how to query data from databases using basic select commands. SQL gives analysts the ability to access raw data from SIS, assessment systems, behavior management systems, and other databases related to student information and instruction. Participants must have mastered the following Excel topics prior to the session: IF functions, Advanced IFs, Date/Time Calculations, INDEX, MATCH, Text Manipulation, SORT/Filter, calculations across sheets and workbooks, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Protection, Database, Connections No prior experience with SQL is necessary. Participants are required to bring a laptop and charger. Note: Participants must download MySQL in advance of training. |
