What Can 4,000 Students Teach Us About School?

Registration is closed for this event

FOCUS and Education Forward DC are excited to host an event to dig into TNTP’s sixth major original research report, The Opportunity Myth.

Topic: The Opportunity Myth delves into a tough question for our schools and communities: Why are so many students graduating from high school unprepared for the lives they want to lead? TNTP wanted to understand what students’ daily experiences were like in school, what kind of work they were doing, and how they perceived it.

During this event, you will get the opportunity to delve into the findings via an interactive experience and participate in small group discussions with other charter LEAs in the region. Come join us and determine how you can use these findings to improve student experiences at your LEA and the broader DC community.

Who: This event is designed for LEA leaders, and there will be a focus on instruction and academics. We currently have space for one representative from each LEA. If you would like to send more than one person, please reach out to Anne Herr (aherr@focusdc.org).

Please RSVP by January 11.
