DCPS Surplus Building Update

Current RFOs

DC's Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education recently released four RFOs for excess school sites:

Fletcher Johnson (4650 Benning Rd SE)

Gibbs (500 19th St NE)

Mamie D. Lee (100 Gallatin St NE)

MC Terrell (3001 Wheeler Rd SE)

These surplus buildings were offered through the RFO process to the public charter school community.  At least five public charter schools have bid on the buildings.  The Deputy Mayor of Education's goal is to award the buildings before the end of 2014.  There will be no further community meetings for Gibbs, Mamie D. Lee, or MC Terrell.  At least one more community meeting will be scheduled for Fletcher Johnson.

Should you have any questions regarding the RFO process for these buildings, please contact Althea O. Holford at althea.holford@dc.gov or 202-727-4036.
